Well i am validating a couple of other sources, but the dealer says the 009 part number is for the 01 and the other one is for 02 on up...hence Bill being able to throw it in his car and go.

But i dont 100% trust that dealer that the 009 is the only one for the 01 TT, and based on the rennlist threads I may try disconnecting the battery for a few to see if it runs well on the new maf with a reset.
Stay tuned :-)

Yeah, so it appears that the updated part isnt going to work in my 01. I reset the computer (disconnected the battery) and then gave it 10+ miles to settle in. Same issue as before, idle is hunting and too high. swapped back to the 996 124 00 maf and its fine.
Im going to try to get Autohaus AZ to send me the right part, but they may not...in which case i have an updated maf for an 02+ if anyone needs it.

Villain, sorry bud, I was in metings all day. I suggest you give Kevin a call...he will give the best advice...I agree that information posted on these forums (including my post) is confusing...and to be honest I do not know the technical answer...I do remember Kevin saying to not use the Boxster MAF, but since I have not had MAF issues for so long now I forgot...

Are you sure it is the MAF? And not to be a smart *ss, but is it installed correctly? (I know some who installed it backwards...)

LOL...holy crap, that would be a challenge to get it in backwards...but yeah, im sure its in there right (no offense taken btw - ive seen guys troubleshoot stuff that wasnt plugged in for hours :-))

Kevin is checking on a couple things now regarding this issue just to get the full story straight, but he straight up said "you have the wrong MAF" when i first told him about it.

Now i just gotta find another one (and hopefully ditch this one) without paying the $450 Boulder Porsche wants (or $700 in the end if i went that route and couldnt get this one returned)
