However....there's a track rental coming up on the 23rd.
I'm tellin ya, VHT..sticky stuff... Divexxtreme, I see you are in VA where I am from originally , but if you get to Nashville, bring it to my Dyno to play for free, and we can get it to stick and not blow the tires off, and I would love to see your awesome build and some serious numbers.
Vicious is right....and can't image the tq is higher or coming in faster than his TT Viper.
But like you said dyno numbers are there to stroke your ego. Go out and have fun in the car when its moving....

Wooosh-
I just saw your sig. Freakin post that mutated VW Bus you got w/ the porsche engine!!!
Yes Sir!!! Now for the specs
Also, what was the motivation behind this? Does it move pretty quickly or is it more just to have a Porsche motor in a VW?
I love projects like this!! Very very cool.

Scott.....
Same thing happens to my car. It spins out at 6400 rpm's..and the redline is 7300. We pumped up the air pressure to 55psi, had 3 people on the trunk, and strapped it down crazy tight. It still would spin at the same time everytime. Granted its an M5....and not a 996... but I have the same problem. I thought it was due to having such a small sidewall tire 295/30/19.
Its cool, but sucks at the same time.

Not to hijack the topic here but.....what's the procedure for front drive disconect before you go to a rear-wheel (say DynoDynamics) machine?......I'm sure it's been covered before, missed it.
But.....if wheel spin is an issue, wouldn't an all-wheel machine (with decent R compound tires) be a solution.

My car is no longer AWD, and I run tires that are stickier than R compounds.
