Got this off of Corvette Forum, drivers of C6Z say they couldnt pull the GT3 on the straights at WOT which is strange but the results arent too surprising other than the 996 turbo that gives the GT3 a run for it's money (about 14 minutes into vid). That doesnt surprise me either unless the turbo is stock.

EDIT: My bad, I thought I was told the Camera car is the GT3 but the Camera car is the vette and the car that pops up later in the vid in the GT3, there is no turbo present, if a mod could edit the title I'd appreciate it.

 

cool vid. GT3s are track monsters as well all know, so no suprises in the video.

 

A GT3 should not be even with a Z06 on straights, however entry/exit speed has a big effect on the straights. But he did just walk away from the Z06 which wouldnt happen with a great driver.

I am not sure the GT3 gave the corvette a run for his money the camera car driver (z06) was a much better driver then the GT3. Heck for the money the Z06 is dollar for dollar the best deal out there IMHO. Hell the GT3 spun the car off track at the end of the filim! But you could see the GT3 was able to carry much more speed into the turns then the Z06. Even though the Z06 is hot I still would pay the extra for the GT3.

 

I run there with those guys all the time. A modded TT has no trouble with any corvette up to the new Z06. Then in my hands it is relatively equal.
Modded TT has no problem with 996 GT3, 997GT3 is the best of the three cars at the track, no question. I can run with the new GT3 but I am probably pushing myself and they dont have too. the new corvette is an awesome car and really great at the track also.
this is what it is all about, bring what you like and run with everyone!! If you are not doing this you are missing out!!
