Unhappy Help On 996 Manual Gearbox

i have a little problem with my 966 porsche turbo the transmission was working smothly but the last two days become very smoth
, i have a shifter in my transmission
pls help tell if it is real problem or not
notice the hether is very hot 50 c
pls i would like your advice and help
thanks alot for ppl who want to help me

you could be having issues with your shift linkage (small ****ty plastic piece porsche uses) as they can start to get sloppy and make the shifting feel like crap...


I would also make sure you are using good transmission fluid (redline).

Thanx brother Sechsgang ,, but its not like crap its very very light it was normal and now when i shift from the first gear to 6th gear its very very light and soft i don't feel like am driving stickshift ! any one can help ? please

hmm...still sounds like your linkage may be going down...I would just have a mechanic look at it...it takes 5 seconds to pop off that center councel and see if your linkage is the problem...otherwise, you may have an actual problem with the tranny...which would not be good...
