Unhappy 997 Interior Pic -So far I am very dissapointed with the dash

They really dropped the ball in my opinion - I would have much rather preferred a more flowwing driver oriented design like the old 928 perhaps - Just my thoughts .........

Entirely to many buttons in what should be a sports car... We can probably assume that what is shown is the top of the line PCM system. There may still be hope for those that skip the PCM. I would probably stay away from it as I see no way to install a GT3 type console.

Thumbs down 997 interior

Yikes... The center console looks a little Nissan-ish

I might be one of the few, but I like it... I just dont like how the A/C vents are angled downward.

Don't Dismay

Don't dismay just yet. It's still a prototype and all sorts of things might yet happen or change. I think it would be interesting to follow through on the "retro" tie-ins with the 993 series and see how the seperate circular instruments would look in the dash.

Porsche hasn't yet tried their version of i-Drive to cut down on the number of dials either.

Personally I think one of the better dashes they ever did was the 968 series or as someone mentioned earlier the 928.

Just the right amount of 1980's faux aluminum (hopefully the back light is orange). I am sure the designers at Pontiac are down right jealous.

Did you notice the buttons on the steering-wheel? I don't like a steering-wheel remote on a sports-car... and I don't like the overall cayennesque-, plastic look

I saw some other pic on here of the interior of the 997 and the first resemblance I saw was it to the Cayenne.

Horrible I think it looks to cheap and plastic everywhere. What are they thinking over there, they should have consulted with us first ....
