This may sound like a goofy question..

.. but, does anyone know whether a front wheel/tire of a 996tt can be mounted on the rear of the car?

I was thinking about driving on R compound tires to track events and didn't want to have to use the inflatable spare if I had a flat. The rear tire is just too big to either fit in the car or on the front, but the front would easily fit in the back seat and hopefully mount on the back.

This would also allow a deeper front trunk so that my track box would fit.

Any insight would be appreciated? Otherwise I'll be jacking the car up this weekend and trying it out.

Yes, I've put a front on the rear to move the car inside when I was waiting on new rear tires. Lots of room. Looks goofy though.
