Option codes - can't find these...

I have these in car but can't find them: 696, 939, 539, 540, 09991.

Also I have a 692 code - REMOTE CD CHANGER. Well, I can't find it anywhere, I feel like an idiot. Where is it usually? :-) In the boot it appears I have an amp not a changer... or am I missing something very obvious?

Thanks.

Well the CD changer should be very obvious in the trunk (boot). Just to the left of center on the shelf...

Can't help with the other code numbers but I am pretty sure the 09991 code means that the car went to "special wishes" when ordered. That could be just about anything in that case so you may not be able to decode some of them. Porsche will do whatever your heart desires...and your checkbook can support.

codes

go to rennlist forums and get a password. there's a VIN decoder there that will do it for you. alternatively, call the P-car dealer in youir area. they will give you the option codes.

another mention is that unless your car was purchased brand new by you, the P-cars are incredibly MODULAR in design. when entering the code for my stereo, for example. after the clutch was done, (they disconnect the battery for this) the dealer mentioned that the radio wa a 1999 model!!! my turbo is a 2002.

To the best of my knowledge and consulting my secret M-Option source:
696-Porsche CDR 220
939- Seat covers rear draped leather
539- Mechanical seat height adjustment left
540- " " " right
09991- No idea
Hope this was helpful
