The never ending upgrade addiction

I hasn't been 24 hours since I promised the wife I was done upgrading the 996 and I'm already shopping for more.
Now, it appears that my hoses and DV may need upgrading, as I have watched my boost go from 1.1 to .9 over the past day (unless weather can effect it by .2).
Also, with my new found HP, I feel my clutch slipping a little bit in third gear around 4500 WOT.
So, any suggestions for a Stage 1 appropriate clutch? Also, as for hoses, F hose and Diverters, I was looking at EVOM DV's and the awesome Smaco hoses...oops Samco.
It looks like once you get hooked, you either go broke or you twelve step your way out of the "upgrade addicition", and if your still chasing more HP, your somewhere in between. I've got the need for speed.

Addiction

Yes I know what you mean, when I bought my 996 TT, I told my wife I was gonna keep it stock, she said "GREAT GO BUY IT THEN!". But after a few forums namely 6speedonline.com I've secretly plan to do a few upgrades! Not sure if the 12 steps thing will work at this stage. Maybe Porsche rehab might work better off, espicially if your at in-house rehab center. It worked for me, but when I got out! The temptation came right back, luckily I have a strong support group of Porsche and 350Z modders to help me stay clean.

Clutch- sachs LWFW etc.,.. call Kevin @ UMW.

as far as ur boost leaks... I would first diagnose where and what is leaking before you swap things out.

weather can make a difference...question is are your comparisons under the same conditions (gear and throttle?) Hoses and DV are for preventive reasons...not to increase boost...now if you do have a leak then...find it first.

Stock clutch is fine for stage 1 IMHO...any more then see Kevin.

Enjoy the upgrade process...plan where you want to be then do it at your own pace...just don't randomly add mods...this is what gets expensive as they don't all work together and you end up replacing them more than once.

Cheers

if it's any consolation, i've reached the end of my upgrade path (except for re-gearing the tranny ) at this power level, the car is not as smooth as stock and the clutch is still a pain in the *** for spirited driving. it's fun to take it out & have fun, but i think i'm at the end of the upgrade road.
