white exhaust smoke

I was looking to purchase a 02 TT with 14k miles, and during the test drive, only when the RPM reached above 5k, there was quite a bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust as well as some hesitation on the acceleration. (I only drove it a few miles) The dealer (non porsche - luxury car dealer) had just done an oil change prior to me test driving. They state that the car drove beautifully the night before without any smoke. They called some people and said the problem may be too much oil. (the oil level on board did say slightly high level) I searched the thread and found there are 4 drain plugs to drain for a proper oil change. I wonder if they only drained one and put in I think about 7 quarts. Would overfilling cause this and will it hurt anything if done for such short period of time? Thanks in advance

It will probably not do any damage in that short of time. Have the dealer drain the oil to the proper level. Test car again.

I would do it sooner than later. The oil pukes back into the air box and kills the MAF
