I am at 33K and using it as daily driver... loving it. I intend to drive it to 150K plus.

That's so awesome. If you think that's a lot of mileage you should see his daily driver lol J/K but that's great you're using it. can you list any things you've had to have done, warranty work or anything beyond just maintenance. As with most Porsches, they're meant to be driven and bad things usually only happen when they've been sitting for a long time or been driven REALLY hard without proper maintenance. I'd love to hear about yours just for reference

Bought the car with 19k and put ATLEAST 5k of track miles on...so this thing has definitely had its use...

Thanks to all for the great compliments - as far as reliability - it's well maintained and has never left me stranded - I've had to do a cardan shaft, radiators, a water pump, some bearings and a front diff (I blame this on one of the front bearing going) - in all not bad for 150,000 miles - I change the oil regularly (every 5,000 miles religiously), bleed the brakes every 1-2 years, do the tranny and diff fluids every 60,000 and all the normal maintenance on schedule. It gets driven all winter on snows, all summer and tracked 6-10 days/year. The lead mechanic can't believe how well it's doing. In fact I am still driving on the original clutch!! I will drive it another 150,000......just because I can!!! Spend the money and enjoy the heck out of it - it still puts a smile on my face at least twice a day!! Thanks again to all!! T2

GREAT info! Thank you.

The front diff is no surprise; the original owner of my car had mine replaced under warranty as well.

How about the power steering pump? Is it making noise?

How is your coolant expansion tank? No leaking yet? It normally starts falling apart (and turning yellow) after a few years.

No problems with "2nd gear popout"?

We really appreciate you sharing this info with us. With so few cars out there with this kind of mileage, details about the mechanical condition of your car is extremely helpful.

P.S. - Stock clutch?! Nice!

I had the power steering pump replaced due to the squeal - it was working fine but the noise bothered the hell out of me. I had the coolant expansion tank replaced when I did the water pump as a preventative measure. I've luckily never had the dreaded popping out of second gear issue - hopefully I never will!! Oddly enough the car also has PCCB's and I am on the fourth set of pads up front and the third in the rear. That includes 6-10 track days/year. Whenever it goes in for service the salesman takes a new customer in the back to show them how well they hold up - everyone is amazed at the shape of it for the mileage and I usually have two kids in tow with me. One funny thing was at a recent track day I parked next to a guy (an instructor) with a 944 from the PCA club (we were running at a FCA event) and I mentioned to him that I had almost 150,000 miles on it - he was shocked - next morning in the paddock I had a bunch of people swarm me asking me "are you the guy with the 150,000 mile Turbo??" - I laugh and say ahhhhh......yes - they were all shocked!!! Great stuff - I'll keep you posted as the mileage increases. T2

Do you need to rebuilt the turbo after 100k?

Got to ask....what procedure do you use at the end of a ride...to cool the turbos down?

The turbo's are bone stock - no rebuilds and the car gets fresh oil every 5000 miles religiously. If I am at the track I take a nice 15 minute ride outside the track to cool the brakes, the turbos, the oil, my head and get some gas. During everyday driving I am lucky (I guess) in that I have a nice 10-15 minute stretch of highly policed roadway that 60 is the magic number so I glide in after a nice long slow pace of 4th gear at 60-62 MPH.
