I bogged off the line while he opened up 7-8 cars on me. It was comical. By the time I recovered from the bog and got going, I had a ridiculous amount of space to make up. I was probably going 20+ miles per hour faster than him when I blew past him.

No more races from a dig. If I go from a 5-10 mph roll, I don't have to deal with bogging, nor recover from a bogged start, and I am quickly in my sweet spot. I will only do rolling starts from now on.

I ran a bike on the way home and, starting from a roll, I owned him.

Dont you just brake boost punch it and go?

It sounds like this could be fun "performance TT" club. I am new to 6speed and am in the process of completing a 5 month process building a 996 GT2 "RSR" car. Started with a 14K mi 2002 GT2 and have gone nuts. Already completely rebuilt the tranny geared for track use-close ratio, 6th set at 185 MPH-with steel synchros, Guard Pro GT lightweight diff, 3 pack carbon clutch assy, 800+whp motor w/carillos, 996RSR crank, GT3 heads, GT3 valve train, GT3 cams, flowed heads, balanced, 321 SS 76 mm exhaust w/ Burns mufflers, and all the other stuff everyone does to this HP motor. Installing a 997 RSR supension incl centerlock hubs, BBS 997 RSR monblocks with 295/30-18 Mich PS Cups fr and 345/30-18 Mich PS cups rr, 997 RSR lightweight brakes, uprights, JRZ 3 way adj, all of Cary Eisenlohrs parts, etc. Installing full RSR carbon kevlar bodywork from DP Motorsports of Germany, and a pair of 997 Carbon kevlar GT3 seats, roll cage, etc, etc. This project is out of control, but has been lots of fun. I will share pics of the car in October when it is done. Work being handled by Loren Beggs of 911 Design in Montclair, CA. I will let you know the dyno numbers when we run it in October. Suppose to be 800+ whp at 8000 rpm.
