BLUBYOU is infamous around these parts
I stopped driving my Turbos into New York after the third bent wheel! (2 on the "92" one on the "2002").
I'm lucky in that I have alternatives and my other cars work the New York route. When I'm going to my New Jersey office, the Tubos are the first choice.

I've driven more miles in/out of Manhattan than most and I've never bent a rim, just lucky I guess.

I feel you pain...I busted a couple of tires and rims because of crater size potholes..Its just the way it is in NYC, drive slow and use your autocross skills.

I guess you won't be driving your TT in Manhattan this Friday?

and broke my TechArt bumper

Now you know why I don't drive the Turbo's into the big city!
In addition to bent Porsche rims, I've also bent 3 Lexus wheels (one into an oblong shape) and an Audi TT wheel, in my New York commutes.
That's all with 17" and 18" wheels. When I hear someone talk about 19" wheels, I cringe!

Maybe I'm lucky, I never get any of that stuff, and my last car was lowered as well. Drive mine daily, no issues so far.

Friday is a holiday so Manhattan should be quite by 6 pm. I am hoping to see at least 4-5 cars.
