^^^, Correct.

Beat it while it is stock, upgrade it and then beat it again (on the track I am
talking about).
Great car on the track bone stock with some Pagid orange brake pads in the front,
period. Lots to learn with a stock car. Enjoy!

GSlider, did you giggle like a little school girl when the turbos kicked in? When I first had the opportunity to drive Deepblue's '01 996TT, it was just an amazing drive. Like you, I took it easy for a few miles to get familar with the cars throttle response, steering & suspension.

Then I had to give it a little whirl out on some 2-lane country roads. WOW is all I can say.

Now I drive it once a week to keep the fluids circulated, seals lubricated, etc. (I'm storing the car for Deepblue while he is in the Sandbox).

On the 28th of Sept. I'll be picking the car up and driving back from where it is getting upgraded and will post some info & pics of the upgrades that were done (after getting approval from Deepblue to do so).

One thing I have found (thanks Deepblue) is that now "I" want one so bad it hurts. The engineering and performance are just incredible. Driving the car to its upgrade location, doing 80 - 90 the whole way, I averaged 27.4 mpg which is just amazing, for a 550HP car!!

I test drove a 2003 silver 996TT 3 weeks ago and now I really want one. Currently I am driving a 2004 BMW 545I and I am actively looking at a 2002-2003 996TT everyday,,,very additive.
