Repost question: GIAC Upsolute warranty

Can't find the thread that I posted the question last night so here it goes.

On GIAC's website, the FAQs says "Q- Will my dealer void my warranty? A- It could happen...."

The question is what about Upsolute?

I am in general a bit leery about vendors who wouldn't post their warranty statement in writing. Does anyone of them give you a paper copy of their part of the warranty after the job is done?

Thanks.

What type of warranty are you inquiring about? That if your engine blows, the ecu manufacturer would buy you a new engine if the dealer didnt cover it? I highly doubt this would ever happen. There are too many variables involved to prove that the ecu alone was at fault.

I dont know of anyone that's received a warranty agreement after getting the ecu reprogrammed.

I've been to the dealer numerous of times and no issues. However, my dealer is very mod friendly, as they do ecu upgrades, etc.

The ecus these days are pretty sophisticated and have gone through the proper R&D processes.

I meant both but mostly the Porsche warranty.

Unless covered by business insurance, the tuners really don't have the financial means to do much.

The best warranty is a good product that can pass the test of actual use. Having a board like this with many members reporting their experience is like having a Consumer Reports. I appreciate the posts you and others have written and would like to thank you all for doing so.
