Vivid Racing has always backed JIC Cross as one of the premier suspension and exhaust components for the Porsche vehicle. We have extensively used the JIC product on our Project Cars including the 996C2, 996TT, and our newest 997TT. Vivid Racing has worked with JIC Cross to offer SPECIAL pricing to Vivid Racing forum members on instock suspension and exhaust components.
The Porsche coilovers are what we call Motons on a budget. Installed and driven by a cup car tuner, he said, "I was suprised at how fast reacting these dampers were. The car handled amazing over my test loop. I would certainly recommend these to street and weekend track guys." Vivid Racing has always support the JIC coilovers because of their development both on and off the track. JIC has proven its success with its own Porsche 996TT and 997TT. Most recently, their 993GT2 RSR Drift Car has been featured on SpeedHunters.com testing out the suspension and power of this exotic machine.
The JIC Cross coilovers feature a 16 way adjustable dampening shock absorber. The competition only has 9 and 10 way adjustable. A major benefit of this coilover is the monotube damper. This shock is more rigid and faster reacting then the lesser quality twin tube damper that is found on other coilovers. In addition to the quality internal construction, the JIC Cross Coilover feature front camber plates and rear pillowball mounts. The 6061 aluminum mounts replace the factory rubber strut tops seen on other coilovers. Not only do these offer a more rigid handling characteristic, they also improve steering response. The front camber plates will allow you to get up to negative 3 degrees of camber with an easy adjustment. The coilovers feature linear springs and the spring rates are directly setup to how the shock is valved. Each coilover also features a helper spring. Also allows for a wider range of higher spring rates and for a smoother ride. In addition, this prevents any type of bump steer which can effect the corner of the vehicle. This can give a progressive feel of the suspension without dealing with progressive springs.
The biggest question customers have is... "Will this be to stiff on the street for me." The answer to that question is no. The coilover rides amazing on the street. With the adjustable dampening you can soften it up to work well on the way to work or dial it in to out perform others on the track. Having personally run Bilstein, KW, and JIC Cross in a Porsche, my experience can help you make a quick decision.

When I had my yellow 996TT and what I always sell are the 8 or 9/12kg. These are the best for street and weekend track. The 7/10 is really soft. Probably more comparable to a PSS9. I would not recommend the 7/10 for a track guy at all. Compared to the stock ride, the 7/10 will be close to it. With the adjustment in dampening and spring preload, you will be able to dial it in quite nice.
