AR Design: Fabspeed 996 Intake Systems (996TT & GT3)

Fabspeed 996TT High Performance Air Intake System with BMC Air Filter

Fabspeed's 996tt intake system adds +20.5 hp and +21.7 ft. Lbs of torque plus 3/4 lb extra boost with no other changes. Allows unobstructed airflow to the twin turbo engine for maximum power. Cold air is force fed to the engine's air filter by the stock fan and snorkel. See the photo above as the fan blows cold air directly onto the air filter and the intake snorkel dumps cold air to the filter. Easy to install and saves weight. C.n.c. Air craft machined with t304 stainless steel drip edge. Retains stock mass airflow plastic sensor grate and location for maximum power and no check engine light. More sports car sound and you can hear the turbos and intake working so you have a more exotic sound!

Fabspeed 996 GT3 Competition Air Intake

Fabspeed just released the new Competition Intake for the 996 GT3. The new design is much more aggressive looking and makes an incredible HP and TQ improvement on the car. It is a much faster and simple Intake installation that anyone can do at home in under 30 minutes.

The New Intake Dyno tested on a 2004 996 GT3 made an astonishing 25.78+ HP and 23.5+ ft Lbs. of Torque to the wheels. The car was first tested with our Fabspeed Sport Cats, Maxflo Mufflers, EVOMS ECU tune and the Stock airbox and it put down 350.89 HP and 288.89 Torque to the wheels. After installing the new Intake and running it again, it put down 376.67 HP and 312.39 Torque to the wheels, which was just purely amazing. And some areas like 4500RPM, it made 28.74 HP and 33.52 TQ, so there even bigger gains in some areas.

The New Intake is protected with Carbon Fiber Heat shields to block the hot air from entering the filters. The stock drunk lid has a snorkel and fan on each side which are left alone to allow air to come in directly at the filters for maximum air flow. Remember that the stock air box also links directly to the drunk lid shroud, so any rain that does enter, will penetrate the factory paper air filter just the same or more then our design. Do I recommend this upgrade being used on more sunny days and dry environments, yes it always helps. But just like you, I personally don't like driving my sports car in the rain either, so thats why this is the Competition Air Intake. This new design really opens the car up and just makes a night and day difference in the car.
