I'd love to get my hands on a 997 C2S that's supercharged. I would probably totally critisized if I supercharged my 997 GT3. There maybe issues with the compression and the boost level. You made mentioned of a friends M6,well I have an E60 M5 that is very modded and has a NOS kit from ASR Engneering of Miami, Fl. This thing is a monster, last dyno'ed 581 rwhp and 461 rw torque. Considering the weight differences it should be interesting against a SC'ed 997 C2S. It does eat up a stock 997 TT. From the rolling start, ie. 60 to 190 mph this M5 V10 is an absolute beast. Hey man take care and I enjoy the exchange of car mods and information. A brother in motorsport, GT3Ranger... Juan

With that HP and torque, I think you're M5 on the bottle would have no problem taking care of a SC997S, even with the weight disadvantage. What does an M5 weigh anyway? 3800? Almost 600 rear wheel HP is a lot of power.

you're right, car doesn't feel 100%. i'm going to try and get it on the dyno this week. i'll post the results as soon as it's done.

The Mustang or my car?

I tried to get a camera phone shot of the mustang but I f'd it up. I forgot I had to hit the button twice (once for focus, the second to hit the shutter) and all I did was focus. Driving and camera phones are not a good mix.

just made an appointment to have the car dynoed on thursday. sounds like the car is misfiring on the top end and there's a little black soot on my rear bumber by the exhaust tips. sounds like i'm running rich. had the injectors changed recently, might need a reflash. any thoughts?

My boy has two stock 500 hp cars, a new M5 and a S281 Extreme. He paid 74 for the Saleen, and it attracts attention like no other (chrome rims, black, loud as hell) and when I was driving it 2 weeks ago we dusted a 999 Ducati. That's not saying a whole lot on the freeway, but my point is the car is fast as ****. Saleen really really helped that car out. I mean at the end of the day it's still a Ford (no where on the car did I see the word "Ford," the obviously strip it and splash Saleen on it. However people underestimate Carreras. They see displacement and huge raw HP #'s like the new Viper with 600 HP that the GT3 RS beat with 415 HP.

Our cars are so light, especially once we hit 3rd-5th, where Carreras for the most part conduct business, they really show M3's, vettes, my friend's M5 that the proof is in the pudding, so if you killed it awesome job.

I will say, the clutch on the S281E is remarkably soft and smooth but the boost gauge is worthless. It's dead center and like 40mm. This is the difference between buying a 35k car and dropping 35k into it plus labor 10K or buying a proper car for 80K+ that is built and proven to accelerate, STOP, turn, so on and so forth as it was engineered to do...

just got the car off the dyno. as i suspected the car is not running right. between 5500-6000, hp drops from 280 down to about 240! it then jumps up to 340 at 6800. blows black smoke also.

You're kidding right? You don't seriously think that you legitimately beat this bike do you? One of several things may have occurred: 1.) Noob on bike and never had a chance( I feel sorry for the bike), 2.) the competent rider on the bike wasn't trying as the Saleen is no match and he knew it. 3.) you are full of chit and lying about the event. Regardless, it is a nice car and I'm sure that it attracts plenty of attention, but don't insult us with stories of how a Saleen "dusted" what is essentially a full-on race bike.
