Valentine 1 unique mount--opinions please?

Greetings! cold up here in Minnesota, so suctions cups, well, don't suck . .

I posted this at Renntech, and, apart from an unusual hot-melt glue fetish, got a very interesting reply. "Rob in WA" modified his visor mount (basically spread it wider) and hooked it into the headliner. See photos in this thread, if you don't mind.

I think this is slick, but know zero about how headliners are attached, etc., so wonder if there are any problems. Thanks

Us S. Cali people are spoiled. 60 degrees is considered cold so we don't have this issue

nice

Might do the same to my VI radar. I actually had a friend mount the brain in the rear and the monitor in the front. Setup was really clean but a lot of work.

The visor mount will probably work fine. The only thing to be cautious of is wheter or not it will point the rear into the headliner and give you poor rearward detection.

Is your friend local? if so, I'd be interested to see his setup. PM me.

The brain was mounted where the window and ceiling felt meet. I believe he removed the setup since going with the new Passport Radar. He mounted the display module in the front below his A/C controls.(Some call it the batwing plastic part) He actually cut out a hole for the display to sit flush with the surface. I'll try to locate some pic's of his work. The cable were thread through the ceiling and hidden..
