As for the wheels, they are Iforged Monaco, 19", 8.5F@et42, 11R@et58, tires are Pirelli Rosso
235/35-19
303/25-19
Slight rubbing in the front when your at full lock, only at the plastic liner...no big deal. The rear is all good.
But Im gonna switch to Mich PS2
235/35-19
295/30-19

I may be picking up a set of IForged Monaco in the anthracite finish for my 997 C2S. Looks great! Are you happy with the quality? Any issues with vibration? Asking as I have been hearing so much negativity towards IForged wheels...

Yeah I heard the same neg comments, also heard alot of positive stuff as well. Took a chance, and I really like the look. I got them used, it went straight to the shop to get them balanced, put them on and no issues. Slight rubbing at full lock on the front liner, no big deal. There are some slight water marks close to the center piece and the lip, and hard to buff them out unless you dismantle the wheel. I guess thats the water lock issues with the wheel. But if its polished to a nice shine, from 1 feet away you cant even tell they're there.
i'd rather buy iforged wheels than HREs because it's essentially the same wheel, but one brand is simply doing more work marketing them than the other and the former is charging ridiculous $ for wheels that have so little motorsport R&D in them. HRE in motorsport? WHERE? yet it's not uncommon for 19s to run $1K per wheel.
the issue with wheel vibration is in the rain. the barrel design of their flat lip rims traps water so if you're moving along at a decent freeway clip in the rain, you're going to vibrate like crazy. it's not safe for me here in rainy seattle. my flat lip OZs and Work wheels have no such problem in the rain.
and water marks are gonna happen no matter. what. wheels spin and all that movement leads to... imperfections. chips. whatever. so long as you don't curb them or bend them that's as good as it gets. you're getting crazy good value out of your monacos. i don't like buying wheels new, but i've been forced to since there are so few wheels out there that have the correct specs and quality looks and design.
enjoy man. car looks fuqin siq. and the fact that they actually use the word "bling" on rennlist is what cracks me up. i have a feeling a lot of the rennlist guys are tight wads who are also socially awkward. and the fact that they stereotype me based on my avatar pic is just oh so predictable. LOL it's a social experiment and they're my lab rats and so far these lab rats have shown me some the loudest ones that have a bone to pick with me are bigots along the racial and socio-economic fronts.
and i bet you i'm going to get quoted from here over there which is, again, predictable.
but hey i love both sites for the entertainment value and made friends with a handful on both sides of the car forum pond.
