What To Do

Whats up guys. Im here in the North East and winter is approaching fast, but its another year of modding hehe. Im just wondering what would you guys do first. Get a Plenum for my 03 3.6 L??? or get a Kenwwod 7100 Nav unit??? Ive searched and everyone seems to like the Plenum but ALOT of guys have done it on the 3.4L engine. How bout you 3.6 L guys??? Also w the Plenum i dont have a CAI or Chip, but I plan on chipping it too this winter, is the Plenum worth the 1000k or just do another mod and save it? Thanks guys

I added the plenum, evoms cai and revo chip to my '03 c2. It made a noticeable enhanced difference to the throttle response...a more linear feel and it felt more powerful. I added those mods at the same time so I can't say specifically what the plenum alone would provide. Bottom line, I would recommend the plenum upgrade. If you can live without the Nav, I would add the additional power before the system.

I looked at the Kenwood 7100 but did not like the preout voltage level (2v). I'll probably go with the Kenwood KDC-X991 which has 5v preouts. That and a portable GPS (Nuvi 660).

The Kenwood 8019 (? I think) is the same unit as the 7100, minus the built in NAV and with 5v pre out....add the Nav module and you have the 7100 with 5v pre out....

I prefer portable nav units as they can go from car to car and into rentals when travelling. They're also easier and less expensive to upgrade (replace). Go with the plenum is my .02.

Go with the NAV. You need to know how to drive to get the full HP from the plenum so save your money. I feel the difference in the performance mods are so small in the real world that I would rather enjoy the benefits of something I know adds to the car. Just my 2cents
