Hehe, I feel the pain. I used to live in England and got fed up with snow. I moved to California 12 years ago and the only ice I see now is in my margarita.

Why have an AWD 911 if you're not going to drive it in the winter? What a waste! It just hurts me to think of that car sitting in a garage all winter...

 

Becuase you can barely truely "Drive" the car in the winter. Most miles I would be putting on would be work only. I have 87k miles and dont want to have 92k+ by the time summer comes around again. Yes I know you CAN drive them in winter.... but ****ty roads, ****ty drivers, ****ty salt causing rust = why?

 

I agree totally, if anyone would like to come to MN this winter and drive when it's ****ty as hell out, I'm sure CarJoe0220 or I would be more then willing to give you a ride around the cities. Granted it's just 4 inches of slush under 3 inches of snow under 2 inches of salt and sand but it's the other drivers that you have to worry about. The P-car would be fine in the winter but why let the salt eat at it for the next 4 months until you can really detail it again in March-April. I'm with CarJoe0220, keep it in the garage use the winter beater (HENCE the reason we call them winter beaters). Just my .2 cents

If everything in nature plays nice for a pack-snow fall, I'll take my C4 Cab out when it first starts snowing and there's an inch or two on the ground, (before the plow & salt trucks start their rounds.) It's a blast!!
Greatest time to practice controlled drift - pick a big parking lot without speed-bumps or parking blocks and have yourself a wonderful learning/driving experience. After the grin’s been glued to my face for a while, I’ll go back with the Ridgeline and start all over again!

 

Shopping for a Turbo now. I have a 99 4Runner for blizzards and dump runs, but am going to daily drive the TT all winter. Not willing to by my dream car and stare at it in the garage for half the year.

 

Me too. Have a new 997TT coming in March and will get rid of the Daily Driver (MB) and the C4S and drive the TT every single day! I am going to enjoy the car.
