remanufactured alternator
Anyone running one of these? My bearing is going & was quoted at 1300 for a new part from Porsche. For 150 bucks, I am tempted to try a reman. Any thoughts.

Remanufactured for $150 where? I do not see any problem with this I have been doing it for years however, I do like japan reman over any chinese products. Just my opinion.

There is one listed on e-bay for $144. I guess it is actually rebuilt. I would rather not spend 1300 on a non-performance part!!

I am using a reman alternator now, I think it was a Bosch, $300 with core exchange.
