Im looking to buy a 99/00 carrera 2 and have a few questions. Where can I buy 'clears' for the head lights? Also, where do you put subs in a porsche...I'm thinking custom box and 2 10's or 12's behind the back seats but im not sure. Finally, im looking to spend 35-38k on the car so I expect it to have some miles. I plan to change the rims and tires but besides the clutch and tires, is there anything else that needs to be replaced on a 40,000+ mile car?

subs can be custom fit behind the rear seats in many different ways. it will fit 2 10's which is more than enough for the car, 12's will drown out the highs. MOST IMPORTANT, check the under carriage of the engine, this will need to be put on a lift and the plastic aero shield will need to be removed (four 10MM bolts) check for any oil leaks, this is very bad.. at 40k miles you should be near void of warrante. if clutch hasn't been replaced then expect an additional $1500 for new clutch. it should have been serviced at 25k, so ask if it was. clear lights for that year is abundant on ebay or LA Dismantlers, large porsche junkyard. also check for any paraphernalia that the previous owner might have left behind. good luck.
