Ben, since you feel the GTM is a better sized wing for a C4S, I take it you believe it would a much better fit for the smaller rear of a C2. I've had my taco wing for 4 years. I think it might be time for a change. I can't see in your pictures, but are there openings for the snorkle from the air filter to get outside air. I have the original EVO cone filter that sits down by the right rear of the engine compartment. My current taco wing/engine cover has 2, 2" openings along the engine cover that allows air in. I also cut a hole through the fiberglass above the evo cone filter. It matches up with the cone filter and allows cool fresh air to be directly blown onto the cone filter from one of the 2" openings. I'm not sure that first evo design did much good by just sucking in hot engine air. But when I bought it, I believe it was only around 200 bucks. Thanks.

Ken

not bad...but your previous wing looked tougher...dont get me wrong - it still looks sick, but not as sick as the FATTY gt2 style. the gtm wing looks a little feminine and overwhelmed by the obese c4s figure.

Ken,

I would be remiss to recommend you to do something that I wouldn't do.

I would not replace your taco wing for the Misha wing. I am a big fan of the MK1 factory aerokitted 996s. The lines of the Misha wing are simply too sharp for the fluid, rounded MK1 form. There's something to be said about a cohesive, integrated look. The taco wing works best with the side skirt and front bumper you got on today.

So I'd stick with what you got, but would go further and add the matching factory rear strakes to give the narrowbody some additional girth in the **** end.

If I had your car, this is exactly how I'd do it.

We'll just have to chalk it up to beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The more I look at the old GT2M wing, the more I like the GTM wing. It dominates the rear end less and yes the 996 C4S has the best **** end of all water-cooled 911s.

+1 for the taco on your car. It looks great with the factory aero setup.

It worked Ben, I choose the GTM over the GT2M just from looking at your photo's... I was on the fence for a while, even debated about the Techart... couldn't justify the price... GTM wing showed up today, and I'm very pleased with the quality

not sure why you're posting that on a gtm thread, but i think that'd look horrible. keep it on the mk1 996 with the rest of the aerokit. perfect.

it became relevant when ken7258 posted about taking the taco wing off of his C2. i think it would look amazing if it fit properly. to each his own.
