996 Clutch/flywheel

I AM GOING TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH IN MY 1999 996. I AM GONNA ORDER A PERFORMANCE CLUTCH KIT. ANYBODY HAVE ANY THAT THEY RECCOMEND.ALSO DO I HAVE TO REPLACE THE FLYWHEEL,OR CUT IT. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO LOL THANKS

you would definitely want to get a lightweight fly wheel if you're doing the performance clutch. it should give the car a little more torque. try the FVD web site.

i got my stronger clutch and lightweight flywheel from Evoms.com you just need to know a lightweight flywheel will produce a little rattling at idle when the clutch is not depressed.

mine rattles in at idle with clutch not depressed. not that bad. if stereo is on at all cant here it.

mine also rattles abit sometimes while driving for instance when you let of the gas after accelerating. also minor, but you can here it.

Yes, the light weight fly is a great upgrade, and when upgrading a clutch you might as well install one since you are paying the labor anyway!!
It does rattle because of its light weight and different matterial. You can hear it during idle (when clutch is not pressed), however it is not THAT loud...
