yeah, the 959s are freaking awesome. i walked around with a full-on porsche chubby when they were first introduced. they're collectors' items now. if you own one you turn into golem; oh my precious... the guy with the wrecked one must be suicidal.

That's the real deal! VIN# checks out...wow how much is this going to be worth in 20 years? If it's a sport which it kind of looks like, it's even more rare. The car seems pretty much in tact. Definitely seems fixable.

As horrible as that makes me feel, part of me is heartened by the fact that at least it was saved, it can likely be fixed, and that if nothing else it wasn't burned nor forgotten. I have no experience with anything near that expensive, and as such I can not make any type of reasonable guess as to the cost of a restoration, however you have to figure that given the iconic nature and the rarity of that car, it is at least possible to expect a return on the investment many years down the road.
