I recently purchased 5.25 components (Hertz) and Focal's two-way for the rear. The Focals did not fit due to the limited depth. Someone told me I needed a 3.5 speaker for the rear panels. Where can I get the specs for the rear speakers on a 2001 911 cab?

here you go:

 

In the front...165 V3E Focals will fit, and in the rear 100 V(2) Slimline. 4" components will work just fine....do a search, you will see what is needed to mod the stock speaker pods to fit new drivers. A 61.5" door speaker is possible with slim drivers. Dash pods and rear pods are the same size. If you just want a coax for the rear...Focal 100 CV1s will work.
