Do we have to join all three sites for answers??
rennlist have been the most helpful and the best resource for technical stuff related to porsche so far for me. As far as 6speed, most people on here are more for asthetic mods and I am willing to bet 90% of the people on 6speed have never changed their own tire.
Well, I guess if that statement is true....I'm the exception to the rule! I've already done the following: Installed the spoiler switch, garage opener switch in the dash; by-pass muffler pipes (I'm having my mufflers re-done with the Mk I up-grade, with the 1 1/2 inch pipes); cleaned all four wheels (inside and out); complete Zaino wax, complete interior clean-up, to include Leather treatment; taken front and rear light assemblies out - cleaned and replaced all bulbs........... And I've only really had about three days to play with him.
I think anyone who views (any of the three forums) is into their Porsches!
Hope ya'll are having a great weekend,
C'ya,

C'ya,
Are you serious......No other board other then the 6 has better tech info on the TT.You really need to poke around other boards of the site, allot of us do our own wreching..Maybe the NA 996 guys thats true..can do much to them anyways

My input exactly...it seems like Rennlist has the best NA 996 board, but the 996TT board here seems to be significantly more active than the one on RL. Renntech seems to have it's own value on reference materials. I am on all 3 like most others here.
I wish renntech were more active, but Loren alone makes that sight valuable. I concur with the above poster who indicated that Rennlist seems to be more for wrenchers whereas this forum sometimes concentrates more on aesthetic mods. Also agree that 6speed is better for turbo whereas rennlist is better for NA talk. An additional observation of mine is that 6speed seems to have a younger crowd than rennlist.
+1 that 6speed is a younger crowd. Rennlist has more information on all Porsche models. The number of people reading 6speed who are interested in models before the 996 seems a little light - good quality dialogue, but sparse when it comes to the number of participants.
+1 also on Rennlist being more for the techies. 6speed seems more about the aesthetics - but, I'm a fan of all three websites. Wonder what happens now that a company has bought Rennlist and 6speed...
I also use all three websites. I started with Rennlist's 944/951/968 forum, and it was and is outstanding. That is a huge group of committed owners.
I'd also throw Porsche Pete's Boxster Board into the mix of amazing Porsche forums. I used it for a few years, and I find myself going back to it often. They have a very active group of owners who help to monitor the site. It isn't just for Boxster owners.

Yep part of those three here too. They're all good for different aspects (as has already been mentioned a few times...) No one stop shopping anywhere. So to answer your question, do you have to? Probably not. Is it easier to find information from multiple resources? Absolutely. So join all three and enjoy the community!
But if you've got some time on your hands there are more than just those 3...

Honestly, if I was about to take my 996 apart for any reason, I'd check at least all 3 sites and ask questions. I think the mistakes (which I've made) are too costly, aggravating and time consuming to do otherwise.
I had no idea that he passed away. When? PPBB.com always reminds me of how big these forums can get. It seems impossible that they all know each other, but it seems like it. Had a chance to meet Mike Focke at a recent Saturday morning coffee and he was great! Lots of fun to talk to.
