Has anyone used these Bridgestone tires? How are they? I need some new rears, I have the Pilot sports on and am thinking of trying something different.
Thanks,

I'm not sure about the Bridgestones. I needed new rears but the Pirelli PZero's were still good on the front. So I put Bridgestone RE050a's on the rear. Mistake. the car was well balanced and zipped with the Pirelli's all around. Bridgestones are not the same tire. balance is not good. Maybe the mistake was changing makers instead of getting the Pirelli's for the back or 4 new Bridgestones. I ran Bridgestones on my SC and liked the blend of traction and treadwear. Not sure I'll use Bridgestones again on the heavier 996.
From my experience these are amazing tires with quick turn-in and excellent grip, particularly in the wet. The downside is that their soft compound rubber didn't last long on my 3rd generation RX7 twin turbo; only about 10K miles as I recall. I would never use them again on a daily driver, but for a weekend warrior or autocrossing...
