It's about darn time we lightened up this forum! I haven't laughed at a thread in weeks!

My wife .. I purposely scared her the first time she drove it by pointing out every pebble and crack in the road to avoid .. that was 5 months ago :-). I've sheepishly offered since, but she hasn't taken me up on it yet. It's getting warmer (i have an 04 Cab) so she may get bold enough soon.

If I can convince her to lay over the hood for a picture, I'll gladly post it .. you won't be disappointed :-)

Okay, so what ya'll are saying (and the females by not saying) is that the 996 Porsche Carrera is a mans car only? Now that's sad.................
O-sorry Boxster Girlic01; I didn't see your post so don't take it as I saying that the 996 is 'only' a mans car it's just that I don't see any post from the females here :-)

Good thread!!! So now we have to get the girlfriends/wives to pose on our cars?? Very daring, knowing how some guys get with pics of some guys gals. Boxstergirlie, get your guy to sprawl across the hood of your car, hehe.
Carbonissimo...wow fine as the wine!! Lets see if I can get my girlfriend to pose, and no, she will never drive my car.

my other half had a 993 a while back, and gave me a ton of support with my purchase desicion on the 996. Obviously it is not an entirely "practical" car to buy- her comment was "screw it you only go around once, right??" LOL gotta love that...

Buying a CTT ended the 'who's taking the pcar today' battle. I used to cringe on the days I got stuck driving the white "girlpowermobile" X3.. (and yes I know the 996 is MY car, but sometimes you gotta compromise to keep the peace, especially with another pcar lover in the house).

....I could have sworn there were at least a few female pcar owners here...

Where are the Female Porsche owner/driver?
Am I to beleive that this is just a Male type of car? I don't want to start anything, it's just that will all the other cars I've owned there have been a lot of input from the woman side of the car World????
Respectfully,
Here's a news flash for you. Over 85% of 911's and Boxsters are purchased by men (according to Automotive News and World Report). Not a lot of women buy these cars.

New wife loves the 996. But she won't drive it b/c she can't drive a manual. She wants to drive it though. I'll teach her sometime this summer (on a rental car of course).

Almost every 911 I see driving around here is driven by a woman. It's like 75%. I guess the guys are driving the Bentley? There's an whole lot of them driving around.
