If gas hits $5.00 I'll still drive it on the weekends! I work all week long to enjoy my weekends and the Pcar! I never let the gas needle go below 1/2 so it seems mentally not as bad$$

All my other cars are V8s. My daily commute is only 2 miles away. I'm trying to find reasons to have more errands so I can drive my Pcar around.

Just that fact that i think about the price at all is a change for me. There are times when I am not sure if I want to drive somewhere and all I need is one more reason to cancel getting behind the wheel . Approx 4 bucks a gallon can seal the idea of not going when in the past I may have .

Yes increasing gas prices are making my drive mine more. I want to use as much gas as I can before it hits $10 a gallon or we completely run out.

That's my thought, how bad would it suck if oil just stooped pumping and we were all left this incredible machines without gas. I know that will never happen.

I was just curious, I hear a lot of people talking about it, would assume that most Porsche drivers have a little more disposable income then some (if not at least they have sense!). Really $4 isn't too steep but I guess if you drove a ton of miles (commuted) each day it would add up. I only drive my beater about 10miles each way to work and home so it's not bad but I know a lot of people around the DC area drive 25-50 miles easy one way. For me it just means watching my money when I'm out places, try to buy a few more groceries then going to a restaurant. I can sacrifice there a little, but I always leave money for my car and gas to put into it!

I'm with Simon, been here a couple of years and still compare everything back to what it cost in England... I'm still laughing at the price of petrol, erm sorry Gas!

Recently, I attended a Porsche event, I found out a 12 oz. bottle of water cost $5. Who would have thought plain water cost more than petro.

Few years from now, when we have to pay $10-$15 a gallon then we realized $4 a gallon is cheap and laugh at ourself for complaining.

My 996 gets better mileage than the Expedition I normally drive everyday, so I am driving the Porsche as much as I can, and it is alot more fun.

"My p-car is the most fuel efficient car I own. 28 to 33 mpg."

hmmm. 28 to 33 mpg. I think I need to slow down a bit.
