THANKS FOR ALL THE RESPONSES.

the wheels for sale are carrera classics 19 with michelin p02. i know 295 is no problem but ill be buying 305 as they are only 10% used and come with the wheel.

i called porsche and it depends was the answer. depends on the suspension and if its worn. i understand their point, its a tight fit.

i thank you all for your time.

Those rims should be 11s with a 67MM offset; the code is on the inside of the spoke if they are factory BBS rims. I just bought a set as well. I am thinking of running 305s with the Porsche M030 suspension on a 996 NB as well.

I have 11.5" rears with 315's on a NB '02. I have no problems with rubbing on the inside and could probably get a away with a spacer.......

Here's the link with some pics of my new wheels... Thanks to Eli @ Fastforward for doing a great job on the paint!!!

I used to have 315/25/19's on my 996 Cabrio on 19x11 inch Techarts, lowered on Techart Springs. No issues at all using Conti Sport Contact 2's.

Those are Carrera Sports, right? Now that's wide, very impressive!

I perhaps should have mentioned the offset on these wheels which is 67mm. I believe this is the make or break dimension over wheels fitting and not!

I have 15mm spacers on my stock 18" wheels, lowered, and there's still some room. So if the 19" 997 rim only juts out 11mm over stock I don't see an issue.

What I would be concerned about is increased OD of the front 19's. My stock 18's with lowered car actually rub the front fender liner lightly on full turn. So increasing the OD with a 19" rim/tire combo could make the issue worse.
