Cold Air Intake # 2
I installed a Fabspeed Cold Air Intake kit some time ago, did not install the red intake tube as I have a Tip and there is a hose which enters from the side. Decided to do the modification to the red tube today and while I was disassembling the air box noticed that the air filter was clogged with dirt, probably rubber dust from the track and DE, right where all the small hole are at bottom of air box ( sucking air in from engine compartment ). Decided to block these hole off so that air will only come from snorkle i.e cold air. Cut a piece of clear plastic from some packaging to fit and siliconed it to bottom of air box ( on outside ).
Drilled hole in side of red hose, installed hose and siliconed it in place.

Biggest difference is a louder intake noise, slight performance increase, total 30 HP increase on dyno with cold air, headers, exhaust and chip. Have added 100 cell cats since dyno.
CEL came on briefly then went out and has not come back.
