Air/Oil Separator on 996

My buddy (Porsche Technician) had the car on the rack today while putting on my FVD exhaust. After he was done he said the air/oil separator boot was wearing out (getting pliable) no leak yet but said it is a matter of time, He said it is a time consuming job 8+ hours. Anyone had one replaced?, what was the cost?, the part isn't expensive it appears the cost is in the installation.

Thanks

I think the bill out is 6.5 on a manual trans and about 7.5 on an auto trans. Now with Porsche rates that could set you back some $845, but if you were local you could walk away with $550 on a manual....

Good Luck,

-Eli
