Engine Protection Plate

Who sells this at the best price? I figured I would ask before just buying it.

NIckS,

Contact Sunset Porsche, I picked one up a while ago for $99.00, they can be reached at 1-800-346-0182. Very simple to install.

Hope that helps...

GERT

PAID $100 SHIPPED WELL WORTH THE PRICE...ANY LOWERED CAR SHOULD HAVE THIS AS WELL SOMETIMES THE INSTALL CAN GET TRICKY AS THERE IS ONE HOLE THAT MY DEALER 9CHAMPION) HAS SEEN THAT HAS NOT BEEN TAPPED ON ALL THE BLOCKS AND THEY HAVE NEED A TAP & DIE SET TO MAKE THIS THREAD SO I SUGGEST SPENDING THE $30 OR SO AND LET THE DEALER PUT IT ON THE LIFT...HOME MECHANICS ARE NOT FOR PORSCHE OWNERS THEY ARE FOR OLDER CAR OWNERS...IMHO AND I HAPPEN TO BE VERY HANDY AND USED TO BE IN THE AUTO BUZ FOR 10 YRS IN NY

Um...I installed it myself in the three out of four holes. It is SIMPLE.

The 4th hole lines up with the '99-01 engine bottoms and isn't mean to be used with our '03-04 engine. Not sure why your dealer went through all the trouble and drilled a hole in your oil pan other than to make a few $ off you and give you a possible oil leak.

Actually found one for $75 shipped from another C2 owner who has just placed his order for a 997 and never put the protection plate on.
