Help! Radio problems

My 2002 996 radio sucks. It makes this loud screaching static every few minutes making it intolerable to listen to the radio. Porsche dealership replaced the amp before warranty ended, but static back soon after.
I'm afraid to take it back to them since they couldn't fix the problem the first time. If I'm going to pay $, it would be nice to get it done correctly.

Does anyone know the problem? So I can tell the dealership what to fix?

Option 2 : listen to sweet engine behind me (forget the radio)

Thanks. I'll try driving w/o my call phone.
Is it possible for cell phone to cause static where the dealer replaced amplifier? And why only in my Porsche?

Mine also gets interference and it starts to screech like someone sending out morris code. It does this while the system is on no matter if its the radio or the cd being used. I also find it does it always in the same locations like for instance I drive up this hill everyday and then stop at the lights. It will send out the loud beeping in morris code style for a few seconds and then stop.

Someone mentioned to me that it may be the antenna that is not properly connected or shielded right. I haven't looked into it to much since I rarely actually use it. Normally I am listening to the fabspeeds and evo cold air intake.

Have you taken it to the dealer? I did. They change the amp and it still happens. I probably won't take it back anymore.
zdr2k advice was pretty good. I leave my cell phone on seat instead of under radio and it has helped out alot.
Thanks for advice.

well, if this was fixed while still under warranty the replacement part now has the same warranty your car did.

for example:

(hypothetically speaking)

say you have a 5 year 50,000 mile waranty.

your front right brake caliper is replaced at 45,000 miles / 4 years.

now, 20,000 miles later the replaced part fails. your car is no longer under warranty. however that new O.E.M part only has been on your car for say 2 years. well as the law states, that part still has 30,000 miles or 3 years left of warranty.

see what i mean?

this has happened to me in the past and i always, bring this up. that the part has not been on the car for the entire warranty period. that part if it fails again, is still under warranty if your within the additional time frame.
