If you don't track your car often, I doubt you'll notice a difference in handling if you keep the overall diameter the same. This has been said above, but you almost have to lower it once you've gone up to 19s because the wheel gap will look even more pronounced since the sidewall will decrease.

It sounds like you're going for a more aggressive look. Lowering first will help solve that. But lowering + 19s will look even better. if anything, just going to 19s will make your car look like its riding higher.

18 v 19

I went to 19s last year. I drive the 996 quite a bit and couldnt get used to the rougher ride. Here is my .02

19's have a better look but if you go this way dont skimp on the tires!

18's IMHO are better performance (I thought they were easier to drive fast) and the ride was better.

Its your choice. If I was driving on Sundays, I would consider 19's. If you drive regularly I would stay with 18's

One other note: If you go custom 18s make sure you get the correct offset so the tires sit flush with the wheel well...looks much better.

I love those GT5s!! They look amazing thats pretty much enough to sell me on 19s!!! The ride height isnt too bad...i can do some springs to bring it down a bit I guess....so you are saying that they are pretty bumpier???? What kinda tires are you guys rockin?

Thanks guys!
I just installed new pzero's yesterday... I like them so far.

Mine rides bumpy as heck.. dont know if I should blame the H&Rs or the 19s... If I were driving it daily I would keep the suspension stock.. with my aero kit, I cannot clear a speed bump at my office parking lot... that is sad, but at the same time oh so gratifying.

good looking setup on the Nola911 Special....

Anyone running the 19" RH Alurad Turbo-P's on a non-lowered car? I saw these wheels on Brando's, and really like them, but now am wondering if the car should be lowered before putting them on mine...
