objective?

It depends on your objective....as the Bodymotion guys pointed out to me last week (thanks, guys), the K&N system I have installed has robbed me of 9 real horsepower in the mid-range...partially because it's an exposed-filter unit. I would definitely recommend something with a closed box, but I can't really think of how much better you'll do than the factory intake. go for exhaust/ecu upgrades instead...then move on to the heavier duty stuff.

I am surprised about that K&N number since they claim + 23 hp and the independent test verified at least + 18 hp.

I've read from fellow 6speeders who paid around $250-$275 for K&N from vivid, I just looked them up and they are $321 now. Are they a newer version K&N? or were they on sale before?

I used to have an EVO intake. I've taken it out since and replaced it with a BMC filter. I didn't notice a performance gain with either, and the stock box is efficient as it is.
