My 996 head has only one button (key lock/unlock).

But the second button on this head that looks like a trunk lid is that for an option or specific year, etc.?

My 996 head has only one button (key lock/unlock).
That's weird, do you have a pre 02' version?

Most dealers want about $100 to program your key head. It take 10min tops

is there a way to program the trunk button to open the soft top instead of the trunk?

MY00 CAB. That would be great to program to open the top OR the trunk. I guess the key head is for 02+ then? The pre 02 do not have that capability?
