what wheel?

Hi guys!

I want to change the look of my car. Right now on 18" Carrera classic lights (5 spokes)
What I have in mind is 8" fronts, 11 rears, no lip design, black (I can do this later) but keeping it in 18".
With a budget of 1500 for the wheels only..... I'm dreaming?
I can't either find a dealer with GT3 replica wheels in stock or one that's not selling the ones made in china.
I remember when I use to check ebay and see thousands of GT3 replicas made in Italy for $1300's. Nowdays, not even one.
Any help/suggestions?
thanks!
joel

Not sure if you can find what you're looking for, but try Wheel Dynamics.

On the cheaper end of one-piece wheels (no lip) are Volks that do come in 8.5 and 11 widths, but even then you're looking at 2700–3000 for the wheels alone. But it may not be the look you're going for...it's not really popular with most of the german car crowd.

GT3 reps do exist, and they're probably reasonably priced as well. I don't know that I'd feel comfortable tracking them, but if this is mostly for the street, then from what I've heard they are perfectly fine.

I know a company in the UK even makes the 997 GT3 wheel style in an 18"—maybe they can import??
