oops is infamous around these parts
stock exhaust tips moved inwards?

I have a 1999 C2 Carrera. The stock oval exhaust tips stick out past the bumper, about 1-1/2". I've seen other Carrera's where the exhaust tips are even with the bumper. In other words, the tips do not protrude past the bumpers edge.

Can the stock tips be adjusted inwards?

Thanks,

There's no adjustment for that...they're on there with a V clamp...unless you can move your entire muffler in a bit. Are those stock tips? Contact FisterD....he does a lot with exhaust tips...I saw some of his black ones the other day...looked sharp....he's a welder, but he knows the tips and may have some suggestions for you. He's usually on the 996 and the 993 forums.

The stock tips are a bit wimpy IMHO. I like the look of the Fabspeed 4" ovals on my 99 C2. Get new clamps too--under $200 for the whole ball of wax.

Might as well get headers, cats and mufflers too

the oval tips have a 0.75" adjustment. it's a nut under the tip. loose that up, adjust inward and tight it again.
