Post Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric

It's almost new tire time for me. Just curious if anyone migrated from the Michelin PS2's to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric. The Goodyear seems to get better dry and wet scores on Tirerack tests. Interested in anyone's PCar experience if available...thanks in advance.

I have not intentionally purchased a GDY tire for at least 10 years. I know they have made some great improvements, but I would still put them well below Mich, Pirelli, Bridgestone and even Conti/Toyo when looking for an ultra high performance tire. Unless you are looking for a bargain, stick with one of the top 3 brands.

They did rate very well in testing, better that I personally expected they would. I helped participate in that test and found them to be quite good. As good in fact, to some of the other tires that are still favorites. I'd be interested to hear how Porsche owners specifically like them as well.

tire for tire the F1 asymms are BETTER than the PS2s.

you've been sold out dog.

the prob with the good year and also the cheaper and as good BS RE050A PPs is that they don't make the sizes i need. ps2s come in many many sizes.

i'm looking squarely at a $2000 tire bill. just tires. lame, but a part of the game.

I admit I am unreasonably biased against GDY. I just hated every set I ever drove on. Noisy, poor in the rain and chunked under stress with poor mileage. I include their dunlop crap in that opinion. From years ago, GDY just had bad technology for performance tires. I am sure that their new stuff is much better than prior. But, you don't see them getting the "super car" fitments. Those go to Mich and Pir for a reason.

Have you had the F1's on your 4S? I don't know anyone who has personally driven on them.
