Drove the 997 Carrera Sat.......

Porsche did it this time......

The new 997 Carerra is a great car...
The interior is nice, but ther seats were a bit uncomfortable, lots of adjustments though, the controls will take some getting used to, lots of buttons on the console, a bit confusing.
I did'nt like the black gauges, and the door latches inside seemed loose, the seat and window controls were moved to the doors.
The new body shape is beautiful, flared front and rear fenders, flush fitting glass, restyled front lights and bumper, they did a great job.
The new trans and short sifter is flawless, power seems equal to the 996, the steering is sharp and precise.
I think the car will be a big seller, Can't wait to drive the S.

I still love my 996, and will not be trading anytime soon, but the 997 is another great step in the evolution of Porsche.

(Long live the 996)

YOU DA MAN! Thanks for setting up the test drive on the 997. I can't believe they lets us have the car by ourselves. I agree the power seems the same as the 996, but the new trans. and shifter is great. I still don't know about the interior. Can't wait to drive the "S".
