I think the car looks hideous both inside and out. I also think you are a jackass for making what you obviously intended as a racist comment. Last I checked, this car looks nothing like either the Presidential Limo or Air Force One; the plane, not the shoes

I also find it interesting considering this post:

It's kind of like the pot calling the kettle... I'll let you get back to running the country though; oh, and congrats on the Columbia and Harvard education as well

Thanks everyone for your comments, good and bad. It's a big world and everyone's entitled to their own opinion. To me it's just a car, it's not that serious. I'm a busy guy and maybe that's why it's paid for. As far as the head light covers, they cover up the poor japanese design. Me, I'm all about the european, german, exotic look. Let's not forget, it's a Porsche. We don't buy a Porsche to blend in with the everyday schmucks. Too yellow, too old.

Waaahh! Stop the race-bait whining and grow up. Nobody cares more about race than the side that constantly complains about it, and people like you stoke it more than fix it.
if you're going to cry about people go to your friends and do it but keep it out of this forum please because you look stupid doing it.

If I'm ignorant then you must be enlightened. With that I'd say that you should "enlighten" me about my wrong/misguided views (seriously, all spit-balling aside).
I think you'll find that your perceptions about who I am are dead wrong. In fact, you're probably thinking that I'm white (wrong) and that I dont understand racism (wrong) or can never understand what you've gone through (wrong).
Your views on applying a racist bent, while wearing your self-righteousness on your sleeve, are hypocritical. I have withstood more racism in my day than most, and I can honestly say that most racism is nothing more than naked insecurity mixed with low-hanging fruit insults.
But WHO CARES what someone else thinks about your color or otherwise???
One day you'll be able to move about in life being concerned with those opinions that matter to you (such as family/friends) but the rest of the world? Trying to make everyone see things from the lens of your skewed lenses is fascist. Is racism bad? Most forms but not all. Is casting judgment on others for being racists hypocritical, most definitely.
Try worrying about what those in your world think, and not cast your hypocritical judgments on others who don't share your view as being "jackasses". To be honest, I'd rather have racism any day of the week over political correctness, because at least someone's being honest.
And if you feel a need to champion the cause of fighting racism, then do it for all colors/peoples, not just those you like, because that makes you no better than the people you hold so much disdain for.

You say I think that you don't know what I'm going through; I live in an upper middle-class area of Los Angeles and have lived in Redondo Beach, Beverly Hills, Lincoln Park in Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco and lesser areas in the past; that is my world. You don't know my racial mix either, since you obviously assumed I was 100% Black, or my life experiences. My household, family and company gatherings looks like the United Nations. I have obviously not let what I have dealt with affect me to the point of immobility.
I could care less what you think about my color, creed, heritage, race, religion or etc.; you don't know me, my family or friends. Your assessment that "I can honestly say that most racism is nothing more than naked insecurity mixed with low-hanging fruit insults" would be a correct. Now I'm a Fascist/ Hypocrite for stating the obvious, that's rich. Next I'll be a Socialist/ Communist. I'm sure the "Obama Edition" comment was meant as a compliment and I misunderstood it
Like I said, neither the Presidential Limo or Air Force One looks like this car. I also don't remember seeing any cars like this on campus when my sister was at Columbia nor when I visited Harvard's campus before attending college. If you must know, I also found his comment about the 911 lights looking "rice" offensive as well after I read it. I asked my SO who is half-Asian and half-White if she felt it was complimentary to Asians; I think not. I have dated women from every race, lived all over this country, traveled abroad and had/have friends and co-workers from all over the world. So in reference to my not understanding the plight of others or championing their causes, you really need to find someone else who lives in a much more myopic world to have that conversation with them. LA is probably one of the most diversified places on the planet. I have no "disdain" for any race, creed or color of people; you find jackasses and racist in every color of the rainbow and every socioeconomic class. Your pop-psych analysis leaves much to be desired. BTW, for future reference "People like you" is pretty much synonomous with "you people". Take care

To be clear: i didn't find the comment about the monkey comment funny, nor was i making reference to it. It was an unfortunate coincidence of gigantic proportions.
My point is this, and it's not pop psychology: People need to stop being so sensitive. Racism isn't the unpardonable sin and I fail to recognize how hating someone for their skin color is any worse than hating them for any other reason. It's just PC and PC is herd mentality without thought.
You said in your rant that you didn't care what i thought of you, your creed, etc. So why on earth do you care what some random person puts in a post about a car, even with racial tainting? It seems to me someone as enlightened as yourself would understand the human condition and give a crap when someone makes an off color remark.
I grow so weary of people policing other's into being PC, which is exactly what you seem to have done. Who cares if someone's a racist, it's not anyone else's business any more than it's someone else's business what their religion, eating habits, or excrement schedule is.
Get over it.

WTF are you talking about. You obviously found what he said funny based on your initial response to his comment and then you try and defend his comment after I said something about it. Is this your attempt to defend the monkey/ animal reference? Your nationality/race has nothing to do with it and is irrelevant. Ignorance is Ignorance; it has nothing to do with race. Defending ignorance is ludicrous.

The fact that someone made a racist comment while trying to insult a car and I called them on it is not PC; it's calling BS when you see it. I can care less about someone being PC. It's always better to know where they're coming from. People can have whatever belief system they want, that’s their prerogative. But, it is not incumbent on me to listen to or read their racist or political slurs and pretend all is okay in the land of OZ.
BTW, you are the one who chose the role of policing me when I said something about it; "If you're going to cry about people go to your friends and do it but keep it out of this forum please because you look stupid doing it". I hardly need you to give me permission to speak; last I checked, you don't run this forum. Racism is Ignorance and Ignorance is Bliss. You can keep defending this BS "what some random person puts in a post about a car, even with racial tainting" 'til the cows come home. It amazes me. Take care and miss me with the BS.
