Chipsaway???
Chipsaway???
Hey all,
It has been one month that I have taken ownership of a 2001 996 and wanted to address some stone chips on the front bumper.
The body shop said they would have to paint the whole bumper in order to make the color uniform...understood.
But for minuscule stone chips has anyone had experience with a chain called chipsaway?
Thanx for any feedback

Hi aben8057,
We are in the same boat. I have a 03 996 in lapis blue that has a million stone chips on the bumper and hood. I bought it used and I think the previous owner got behind a sand truck for 2 hours. I looked on the internet for a solution and went to a few dealers to inquire, but all suggested to get it painted. I even got a kit to repair them myself but I tried it on one area and, maybe it was me, but I wasn't too impressed......So I got a turbo bumper off of someone on this forum and the car is in the shop now. I liked the look of the turbo bumper better anyway.
I don't believe there is any good, easy, quick and cheap solution.
Either live with them or repaint. BTW I live in south Jersey. PM me if you want to talk further.
