help on H+R coilover settings

help on H+R coilover settings

Hello everyone this is my first post but I've been reading alot and learning. I have a 1999 porsche 911 c2. i just installed the H+R cup coilover kit and H+R sway bars front and back. What are the number of turns everyone running in front and back! Thanx for the help and great site!

will do i hv them in now but trying to find the right height is the issue! but i must say they are a really well built product. just mine lacked instructions and i did the figure it out method during installation. lol

Number of turns???...you referring to ride height?...cause they're not adjustable other than that.

Everyone is going to have a differnet value here. Tinker around until you get the car at the height you want. I set mine where I wanted them as a baseline and then had the car corner balanced. I'm sure the heights are different at each corner.

Here's a thread with info on how to correctly measure ride height as well as stock OEM GT3 ride height specs.

And here's an additional tip. Figure out where you want the ride height set and cut a piece of metal or wood to that exact length and us it as a template to measure with rather than trying to use a tape measure between the ground and suspension point every single time. It'll save you time in the long run.

well I spoke with H+R and now have the correct settings and have the coilovers installed. I will post pictures of my car and the installation! i have a complete picture diary of all the installation on this car. i have changed a ton of parts and documented them all. This include the following if i can help anyone just let me know! I have to put a good word out for Dan at Vivid Racing for getting me all the parts i needed and my local porsche dealer.

Items replaced and documented
1. Fuel filter
2. Fuel pump
3. Brake lines to SS
4. Oil change
5. Oil Tranny
6. Plemun Change
7. K+N aircharger
8. Spark plugs
9. Coils
10. Belts on engine
11. Altenator
12. Complete fabspeed exshaut system from headers to tips
13. H+R coilovers
14. H+R front and rear sway bars
15. Complete interior removal

I purchased this 1999 c2 with 45k and im learning as i go! thinking of changing over to gt rsr? anyways if i can help let me know!

Yes, please share the DIY on the coil over installation and the sway bars. Also really interested in the settings you used based on their information.
