I am from South OC..so need some good advise..Great Classy Eating place (Not Spago's - we have been there) and a good dancing place (keep in mind we are in our Late 30's). Have been to Deep in Hollywood..any ideas so I can impress her

The little door near Beverly Hills. Great food great atmosphere.

 

Mr. Chows in B. Hills...Excellent food, nice atmosphere and PLENTY of celebs...Last time I was there I was sitting near Jim Carrey, Robert DeNiro, and LL Cool J...Henry Winkler was leaving as we came in....Crustaceans in B. Hills is also a great place...more romantic. They also used to have a celebrity entertainment show...A house band, and all sorts of singers would just show up and sit in with the band....Everyone from Stevie Wonder to Mariah Carey to Chaka Kahn to Usher...It was pretty hard to get in for that, but if you are there for dinner, maybe you can just be there while it's happening and they won't throw you out...great music and entertainment and great food. Dancing? Try the Congo Room on Wilshire owned by Jimmy Smits...Salsa dancing...different, but it's pretty cool. Yamashiro's in Hollywood is also a must do restaurant for Japanese...very romantic...Have fun! Oh....White Lotus in Hollywood, if you want a trendy nightclub...
