996 at Laguna Seca

Hey guys, I just finished a track day at Laguna Seca with the "Hooked on Driving" group, and I highly recommend them for anyone considering becoming a track rat. Awesome course, definitely my favorite by far, and great group of coaches.

There were quite a few Ferraris, but Porsches definitely represented in each group.

We did run the full course, 5 sessions at 20 minutes each! Overall we did 100+ miles of track driving in one day. Not too bad at all. (The one shot of the corkscrew, I'm actually much wider on course than I should have been—nervous in the beginning, but got better and closer to the curb as the day went on.)

They are gunmetal TE37s, 18x8.5 front (+49), 18x10 rear (+59) with 225/40 fronts and 285/30 rears.

Yes, I'm going to try to go as much as I can. We definitely are lucky here in California, with as many nice tracks as we have available to us. In my run group, a 599 even drove in with Nevada plates!

Here's another chance! =) This is a very good driving shool, locally. I highly recommend them. (Open to all makes of vehicle.) There are some spots left, though a waitlist has begun for some groups already:

I'm sorry, but it's hard to beat the looks of a bodykit-free '99 narrow body with a perfect stance. Gorgeous simplicity. Did Sharky set yours up too?

Very nice. Great pictures. I'm considering hook on driving as well. Did you start in the A group? If so do you move up to B group next time? How much ware do you get on your tires and breaks after a track day? Thanks
