Will PSS9's for a 997 fit on a 996?

I hope this isn't a dumb question. My friend has a 996 C2 and someone offered me a set of PSS9's for my 997S (off a 997 S without PASM) but I have PASM so it won't work out.

Could my friend use these on his 996?
