Idole problem....

Guys, Help me please.

I install new exaust, but it's mede for Japanese edition 996 3.4. Mine is 1999 C2, and this exaust doesn't have cat, and there are only 2 sensor holes, so I took my car to muffler shop to make 2 more sensor holes. I does run, but every time when I start the car, I have to wait until car gets warm. Other wise engine stops...... I gues problem is sensor is getting signal which didn't pass the cat, so it throwing code, and doesn't know how to idle..... anyone knoe how to solve this problem?

do you have all the o2 sensors hooked up?.... you need all of them in order to work properly.

Your base idle mixture could be off and need readaptation. The primary O2 sensors are used to determine and adjust the mixture, while the secondary sensors are used to determine the efficiency of the cats. Without the cat, you can fool the secondary sensors with a pair of spark plug anti-fouler, which you can get from Autozone or Pep Boys for about $3.50 each, or use the O2 sensor extension that FVD has. This will also clear the CEL:

It would appear that you are using 2 per sensor....is that correct...threading one into the other

The pics are not of my car, but you'd need two of them if the O2 sensor doesn't clear enough with one. You also want to space the sensor about 1.5" away from the stock position for it to work. You're creating a differential signal between the pre and post sensors that fools the DME.
